Hi there! I have an old Dell laptop with 256MB of RAM and a 2.0Ghz P4 CPU. I've tried Xubuntu, Vector, Zenwalk, and they were just too slow on this machine. Yesterday I installed antiX 8.5 and it really flies! Wow! Simple, beautiful desktop with little memory footprint. I finally found the distro I was looking for. A real gem!

Now to a question: I remotely connect to Windows machines via RDP.. is there a way to install tsclient/rdesktop on antiX?

Thanks!

They're all in the repos and don't seem to have much dependencies. You choose one or more of:
apt-get install tsclient
apt-get install rdesktop
apt-get install grdesktop (gnome frontend for rdesktop)

apt-cache and Synaptic are means to search for pakages but there's an even better tool for that:
apt-get install packagesearch

*after installing anything with a GUI, go to menu > desktop > icewm > update menu (auto) for the app to show in the menu.
