It went black text on a black background ,the background color I want to keep. It's black on black in the apps file also. Any thoughts on this. I have Antix 16.2. With lots of changes.

login to, or switch to, a non rox-enabled session (e.g. choose plain"icewm" or plain"jwm") then
Immedately afterward, when you relaunch a rox-enabled session, rox colors (and all other Option values) will be back to defaults.
Visit"Options" from rox-filer contextMenu. As soon as you've changed any setting, new"Options" and"menus2" files will be written to disk.
You could diff the contents of the"Options" and"Options_BAK" files and maybe assess"what went wrong"...
...or just work your way through the Options tabs and re-setup your tweaked preferences.
Whatis"apps file"?
Code: Select all
sudo killall rox
mv ~/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-Filer/Options ~/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-Filer/Options_BAK
mv ~/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-Filer/menus2 ~/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-Filer/menus2_BAK

Oops, I posted the above without noticing this detail. It's black on black in the apps file also.
