Dear ,
How can I write with tatar symbols (letters):өәүһңҗӨӘҢҖ? In microsoft windows I can write by pressing : alt+1(234567890-=`) .I found utility xkeycaps , but I cannot find my keyboard. Is there another utility like xkeycaps?
In gnome and in kde have utility for changing language and selecting keyboard.Have fluxbox , jwm and icewm ... (and another desktop manager) utility like in KDE (gnome)?

This might work for the session only. ie as soon as you logout it goes back to default language.

Open a terminal as user and type

setxkbmap -layout ru -variant tt

Surely, as he is using Fluxbox, he could add

Code: Select all

setxkbmap -layout ru -variant tt &
to his Fluxbox startup file, if he wants this to be permanent?

You might be able to find a gui app that does this without bringing in loads of kde or gnome dependencies. maybe there is one in xfce, but I don't know their names.
