Hello. I just came across a page that explains how to get tabs in urxvt, which is included in m8.

1. launch urxvt with these options:

Code: Select all

urxvt -pe tabbed
It's not as fancy as roxterm, but it gets the job done.

2. for more options, see this page:

Nice tip!

urxvt has a lot of ways to be customised. It is a very flexible as well as fast and lite terminal. Ideal for the ethos of antiX.

Slightly of topic, but you know that fluxbox allows apps to be tabbed together.

For example,
1. Open rox-filer and open urxvt terminal
2. Using middle mouse button, drag the taskbar of terminalonto rox-filer taskber then release.
3. You now have tabbed rox-filer and terminal

Do you mean one window with two tabs, one contains rox and the other has the teminal? That sounds cool. Hey, there always something new to learn.

Can you post a shot of that?

As ICE_M shows in his screenshot (but he uses pcmanfm not rox -- aaarrrggghhh)

You can basically tab lots of apps and you can set them through the /fluxbox/apps file.

Ah, I see. The title bar contains the tabs. That's cool.
