My son has a Eee PC904HA which he took to school and had a problem with it and a 'friend' tried to fix it. Now the notebook will only start up as 'Guest' and there is no where to allow me to get in to Administrator. I have tried all the obvious ways to get into administrator without success to do a systems restore and I cannot reinstall the complete system as I do not have Administrated rights. Please help before the notebook gets binned.HELP!!!!!!!

dustrat - this is a linux forum so we can't help you with windows issues except to suggest installing antiX linux over it.

You don't need the Administrator password to boot antiX Linux. Create an antiX LiveUSB. Plug it into the laptop. Reboot the laptop and when the boot starts, hit the"boot menu" hotkey which should be <Esc>. This will let you boot into antiX by booting from the LiveUSB stick.
You may have to disable"Boot Booster" first. You do this by hitting the BIOS hotkey, which should be <F2> and then enter the BIOS settings menu and disable Boot Booster.
Here is a thread for the ASUS PC 1015, which I am assuming has the same hot keys as your device:

Found the solution and resolved the problem.Found it on Asus web page .Just in case you get asked about this problem again here is the solution
1. Please access bios by pressing F2 while the asus logo appears, switch to advanced tab and find a option named boot boost. Set it disabled.
2. Then restart the machine and press f9 to access the hidden partition.
