Howdy.
Working on the non-functioning battery monitor issue which is well documented in this forum. I'm trying to install gnome-power-manager as recommended. But when I try to do so through Synaptic, I get an error message telling me a number of packages can't be authenticated, and this might allow malicious stuff to infiltrate my computer.
Any idea what this is about, and how to correctify if?
Thank you,

There's no problem about that alert as long as you know which repositories you have enabled. That may just mean these packages don't have a signing key or something similar.

Ah yes! I had forgotten, but there was an error message when I started Synaptic, which mentioned signing key stuff. I didn't understand it, and forgot about it.
Thanks secipolla!
