I did a full install of Antix 13.2 on my computer and am in the defauly DE. I plugged one of my external USB drives into the computer and saw it mounted as /media/sdb1.
When I went into Spacefm to see what that was all about, I could see the USB drive on the left hand side of the spacefm window. As soon s I quit spacefm and went back to Rox, my usb drive was missing from the media folder. When I went back in to spacefm, it was there. It's as if spacefm grabs the usb drive and doesn't release it if I quit spacefm and go back to using rox.
Because I use Puppy on occassion, I love the simplicity of using ROX and icewm. Works fine for my needs. So what do I need to do so that my usb drive stays mounted in a rox window? Does this mean that if I ever go into spacefm for whatever reason that the usb drive will not be available in
ROX?
Thanks for the help!!

spacefm by default unmounts when it exits. this is inconvenient default in my opinion.
you can change it though. go to Devices>Settings>AutoMount and uncheck"Unmount on exit".
If you use the rox desktop instead of the spacefm desktop, there is an option commented out in the startup file for icewm to run spacefm as a daemon in the background. That might be useful for you as spacefm will handle the mounting and everything will appear in rox as normal.

That is so cool and pretty straight forward! I'll try it out when I have a minute.
