Greetings, All. Before I state my question, I wanted to say that I very much like AntiX. I've done some distro hopping and lately have built minimal installs from both Arch Linux and Ubuntu using Openbox as the WM. I've found that AntiX with Space/Fluxbox has just the combination of apps and minimalist approach that I've been seeking for my old notebook computers, without the work of starting from scratch. Many thanks to the developers.
I've been using both Streamlight and SMTube (also with the mpv backend) to view Youtube videos. SMTube continues to work, but since last night I've been getting server 503 errors, service unavailable, when I try to use Streamlight. The error message appears in the livestreamer log on the third line after a suitable codec is found when livestreamer tries to access an http youtube address.
I'm hoping this is a temporary problem with Youtube. But is it possible that I've messed up something on my end like an authentication file for livestreamer or streamlight? Is there an alternate service I could try to test it?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

its not you, its youtube. they occasionally change things and its caught streamlight. its the livestreamer backend that is broken. No fix at the moment.

Thank you very much for checking it out! At least it isn't on my end. I probably should have posted my message in a different place and apologize if I did.
By the way, I'm running AntiX on a third-hand HP Mini 210-1170NR notebook (64 bit, 2 cores, 1G ram) I got for $10 three days ago. I've ordered an upgrade to 2G ram since htop showed me that swap was being used now and then. The clickpad buttons get hinky after 3 hours of continuous use (probably the main board heating up), so I've gone"full touch" using only pad taps, which has taken some getting used to.
After getting some general Linux experience over the last year or so I've come to appreciate AntiX's approach to things and enjoy using it.
Best regards,

Thanks for the update, Anticapitalista. Hopefully it will be an easy fix. Darn Youtube.
Just installed my upgrade to 2G ram without breaking anything, so I'm happy.

I got the Streamlight fix from the 64-bit repos this afternoon and all seems to be back to normal. Great to have this program back, just in time for Saturday night browsing.
