Hi everybody,
first post and already in trouble ... __{{emoticon}}__
Not really - what I am looking for is a run command which can run independent from the terminal, like the"Alt + F2" command in some distros.
I also use IceWM on a different distro and by pressing"Alt + Space" I can write my command into the taskbar, which I always found pretty nifty. What is the secret combination in AntiX?
Thanks.

Thank you for the name of the program - without it I didn't know what I was looking for.
Thank you! __{{emoticon}}__anticapitalista wrote: Welcome to antiX.
Not quite. I then looked into the keys file of /home/longtom/.icewm (doh - could have done that earlier .... __{{emoticon}}__ ) to see that gexec is triggered by ctrl + alt + r . Changed it to"alt + F2" and all is good.anticapitalista wrote:Alt + F2 is used in icewm to open gexec.

Better leave Ctrl+R. Alt+F2 is an IceWM shortcut.

It is? Didn't do nothing and there is nothing in the keys file either. Works fine so I leave it. It's pretty much an accepted standard.secipolla wrote:Better leave Ctrl+R. Alt+F2 is an IceWM shortcut.

Alt+F2 is the shortcut that makes a window occupy all desktops. But I don't use IceWM so if it doesn't do that for you, fine.

Also didn't experience this on a PCLinuxOS IceWM install... __{{emoticon}}__
Tried again - opened a terminal window and pressed alt + F2 . Didn't occupy all desktops so I guess I am fine ...secipolla wrote:Alt+F2 is the shortcut that makes a window occupy all desktops. But I don't use IceWM so if it doesn't do that for you, fine.
