Hi!

After after dist-update i can't log in on LXDE
The last dist-upgrade removed lxsession-edit, I can see it at /var/log/apt.

I'm pointing to testing repository.

I can't use apt-get install lxsession-edit, because this will remove lxde packages (I don't know why)

Any idea about how fix it?

apt-cache depends says, that lxsession-edit is replaced by lxsession. So you can't have both.
Login to a shell (with boot parameter '3' for init 3) , and type"startlxde".

I have run

Code: Select all

xinit /usr/bin/startlxde
runs openbox without any lxde stuff. Desktop, taskbar ect... are gone.

The folder ~/Desktop exist but I don't know how revert LXDE to the previous configuration before the dist-upgrade.

Do you think this maybe the problem?

Check this post.

I'm not sure not looks like a perl issue.

I think that this was the offending dist-upgrade
