Hi all. I've been trying to move the destop icons to where I want them, not where the destop puts them, but i haven't figured out what setting needs to be changed. Using AntiX 13.1 with Space-icewm. Thanks

unfortunately with spacefm, you cannot yet move the desktop icons around. you can change the order, but they will always snap to a grid.
the desktop system uses a early version of pcmanfm's desktop, which had the same issue. pcmanfm's desktop has since been fixed for the lxde environment. its a shame, because its really the only issue with the spacefm desktop I have.

I know rox desktop lets your icons be moved anywhere you want so maybe switch?
Right click any desktop icon and choose ROX-Filer>Options>Pinboard>Pinboard behaviour and choose an appropriate grid step for the icon size you are using. The icons will automagically fall into line with the chosen grid pattern when you move them around manually.
There is no alignment tool per se, but the invisible grid makes it easier than doing it by eye. The coarser the grid step the easier the alignment.
