Hello, I would like to know if you have any problems with Adobe Flash Player, my pc is very dated, and video on you tube I can not view them. In an Italian forum I read that the problem is the processor of the PC, that being dated does not have SSE2 instructions.
In your opinion? This also applies to antiX, since it is designed to operate dated pc?
Adobe Flash Player 11 is still installed on my pc. __{{emoticon}}__
Thanks

Use the earlier version.
See if running this in a root terminal works.
flashplayer-selector.sh
choose 3) Revert and you should see flash 10. Choose that one, reboot and enjoy (?) flash.

I'm using flash on a sony laptop w/ a 900mhz amd duron and 512 mb of ram. Flash works but you have to have reasonable expectations.
If I remember correctly, the 32 bit version of antiX already has the older flash, yes?

@anticapitalista
I did not understand what should I do ... I open the terminal as root and then write: flashplayer-selector.sh me"command not found"
I have to be connected to the Internet?
@dolphin
Flash just does not see anything, I have an AMD Athlon 1700 - 768 ram,
Antix 12 has the 11 version of Flash, the last I presume.
Thanks.

Flash v 11 is often too heavyweight for older kit. Flash 10 may work better on older less powerfull hardware.

flashplayer-selector.sh was not included in antiX-12 but is included in antiX-13.maary79 wrote:...I have an AMD Athlon 1700 - 768 ram,

Here is the topic about flashplayer-selector.sh. The script can be downloaded from the attachment in the last post.maary79 wrote:I did not understand what should I do ... I open the terminal as root and then write: flashplayer-selector.sh me"command not found"

flashplayer-selector is only in 32 bit.
maary79 if you are running antiX-12 you might need to in a root terminal
apt-get update
apt-get install antix-goodies

@ samk
But I do not know which folder and how I need to extract the attachment flashplayer-selector.sh.zip.
It can write in the easiest way.
I'm sorry.
I read the post, I downloaded the latest file .zip (post 11.17.2012)Example of adding an earlier version of Flash Player
Much of this can be found in the topic mentioned above.
The example is based on version 10.3 but also works with 11.1 or others (simply use the filename of the version you want).
Download Flash Player 10.3.183.43 from

In Archive Manager (File Roller), open fp_10.3.183.43_archive.zip
Extract from the archive flashplayer_10.3.183.43_linux.tar.gz
As root, move flashplayer_10.3.183.43_linux.tar.gz to /var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree
Note: do not extract the contents

Try flashplayer-selector.sh in root terminal again.
It should be in /usr/local/bin
