Hi,
I have an motherboard with a 780g (ati hd3200) and have a hdmi cable connected to a tv.
1) The smxi dont install the up to date fglrx drivers (option 7) - when it says i can only hit enter for the options (since the defaults are good) it does nothing after i hit enter, i waited several minutes. If i hit enter again it says it will finish the configurations and asks me if i want to go to desktop - BUT then i have no X.
2)If i use the hadeonhd (option 3) my processing goes to 50%-60% (normally 1% to 3%) idle when the TV is turned on.
3)if i use the old hadeonhd (option 2) the system always starts with 800x600 resolution, even after configured. (i know this is a driver x xorg version problem-lots o distros have this problem)
** no other FGLRX option will work becouse of the xorg version.
Help is much apreciated.

.
The doc you send me didnt mention my hd3200 but this driver does. The driver had to be installed from cli (without x running) and i ran aticonfig --initial -f
BUT there is 1 thing missing, it takes my tv as the first monitor and i cant change that, i will mess with my xorg a little, if i find the answer i will post here.
Catalyst is Working fine so far

sorry, i forgot to reply __{{emoticon}}__
The problem is not with smxi, its the ati driver.
The sound on the hdmi dosent work too (at least for this mobo).
I reinstalled the option 3 driver with smxi and its not eating all those resources anymore.
