I ran the base and it looks great and wandering around it trying to figure things out. I'm learning different distributions and tried this one. I've been reading the threads here about Debian, Gnome etc. How do you load Gnome up? Do you run to the terminal and type in the #apt-get install task-gnome? What about Debian? I'm a bit confused but willing to learn. I use the Ubuntu and it works great but I want to try different distributions. I like Debian and Gnome. So whats the secret? Thanks

Hello Comsparks. Its not hard, just type:
# apt-get install gnome. (without the #)
Use gdm as your login manager. Give it a go. Post back. __{{emoticon}}__

The base is a little sparse on packages, also. Figure out what programs you really like, and install away, its like you make your own personal distro. Add kdebase and kdesktop for a little KDE if you wish or install the whole kde, just like gnome.
