Is it possible to display conky on the slim login screen?

If that is what you want then I suggest you installed a different login manager. Maybe try LightDM.

Slim is meant to be really lightweight with no extra bells and whistles.

Lightdm isn't really"light" and pulls in dependencies, so it isn't an option.

Maybe there can be a startup script which can generate the slim.theme on the fly? Is that possible? If so, how would I go about doing this?
