Hi, I added antix to my mother's old xp laptop(its an HP Pavilion), whole disk
It honestly worked so great for a long time and then suddenly the shutdown button just stopped working, even the logout button.
Actually now that I think of it anything in the startup antix button area does not work I tried to go to the control centre and it did not come up.
The laptop shuts down fine on command but my mother does not know how to work on command so its a bit inconvenient.
Also she has been complaining about the cursor going crazy when she types a lot. So I started using some commands for the touchpad which work well, is there a way I can attach the command to a button or a key so it makes it easier when you want to disable the touchpad and enable.

You can also map a command to a keystroke. Check out home/username/.icewm/keys for definitions of mapped keystroke commands.
I used to do something similar. You can make a custom menu entry. If you are using the default icewm environment, edit /home/username/.icewm/menu and you can make an entry do do whatever you want. Just look at the exiisting entries to see how the line should be formated.Bebofan wrote:

Hi, thank you for your response. How do I get the shutdown button to work? Do I attach the command"sudo shutdown -h" the same way?dolphin_oracle wrote:I used to do something similar.
