Hi.. just done a install on old pc and run terminal for first time but all the text is displayed with boxes rather than chars.. is this a known bug or have config my system wrong somehow.. i installed with all the defaults. __{{emoticon}}__

Looks like encoding is wrong.
Check in the term's profile if encoding is set to utf8
