I just uploaded a new antix theme on kde-look.org

Here is a screenshot of the wallpaper.
As a newcomer to antiX and the Linux community I marvel at and appreciate the concept of building on the work of others. This wallpaper celebrates that fact. The"roots" of the graphic are not meant to be in any logical progression. Merely the work of others we use and enjoy in antiX.
The screenshots do not seem to pick up the lettering color to well. The lettering is a nice muted golden color.

Impuwat, this is a *fantastic* screen. It's got a nice dark background with vacant space up top and on the sides for conky, etc. But mainly that display at the bottom is brilliant for showing what antiX is by graphically representing its lineage. Thanks for giving it to us.
I think anticapitalista should consider making this the default wallpaper for antiX. I'd only try to get those root branches to actually indicate the growth of antiX.
Also, we have great screenshots spread over several topic areas now (graphics, polls, and screenshots). I hope we can get them all grouped in one area. Should the moderator move them into one place?

Thanks for the support malanrich. Like the"fantastic" comment. __{{emoticon}}__
As I said before I love the fact that in the Linux world everyone builds on the work of others. I suppose that is true in general regarding life but the Linux world encourages and supports others to refine and build on the previous efforts.
I have to confess I struggled a little with the representation of the roots....who should be included and how. Maybe this should be a poll question. Who/what do you think should be represented as the"roots" of antiX? I'm always open to suggestions.

Here is the"light" version. I have a few tweaks yet but should be uploading this light version to kde-look.org in the next few days.
John: I'm not sure about gtk2 themes or xmms skins. Have not done that research yet. I really like the"My Way" xmms skin but it isn't that coordinated for this particular color scheme. I've been thinking about tweaking on that particular skin to see how I can adapt the colors.

Just posted the Light Roots antiX theme to Kde-look.org
To download go to:

url was:"http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=73248"
linktext was:"http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=73248"

I prefer the dark version myself but it was easy to do a reverse for those that prefer the light side of the"force". I tweaked the style a little for clarity and included it in the download. The Light Roots style actually works good with either the dark or light wallpaper so give it a try. You might prefer it with the dark wallpaper.
That skin is a pretty close match John...thanks for the research.

Glad you enjoy it. I might be able to get a closer match if you could post the colors you used in your pixmaps - all of my searches were based on your text colors, so that could be why they're a little off. If you would like me to search a little bit more, just let me know.
