the mirror I use is
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://ftp.ca.debian.org"
linktext was:"http://ftp.ca.debian.org"
====================================
and the jessie packages seem to be all there,
but apt sources searches for
jessie/updates
which does not exist on the mirror
jessie-updates does exist
Does it matter that we don't have access to the updates?

This box is current and up to date though since beta 2. I have not reinstalled final yet on it. Big time procrastinator here. __{{emoticon}}__

"jessie/updates" is the security.debian.org repo.
The base url for it should always be"http://security.debian.org/"
So change this repo entry:

I suggest a bug fix to be issued on antiX15, since users will be unable to upgrade security fixes like iceweasel
/ etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian.list
also small typo in that file , receive not recieve

The one time I'm aware of is when you're at the syslinux menu before booting a Live session, and you press the F2 key to select some other language than the US english default.
But I tried that with a couple different language choices and they didn't affect the"http://security.debian.org/" repo entry.
I did find one that didn't work as expected, the Francais (CA) selection. It had"http://ftp..debian.org/" for the Debian repo (note the dot dot), but the security repo entry was right.
Does the repo list mirror selection stuff get done more than one time/place in antiX-15 ?galenthurber@gmx.com wrote:the repos list is auto generated to select the best mirror

A bit late to the party here, as I have been away without internet access.....
Just to add that I have had this rather peculiar behaviour on an apt-get update, but only on a couple of my installations, the others were fine for whatever reason. I cured it by comparing a working copy of the repos to the defective one and edited accordingly.
I had wondered whether I was the only one with this 'bug', and thought possibly I had screwed up somewhere during installation. Glad to see that it has happened elsewhere!
This was on UK mirrors btw.
