Since antiX does not use Ubuntu repos nor Ubuntu .debs, this is not a good idea.josef.bunes wrote:An another way to obtain the key is from Ubuntu key server.

I had Daves server commented out before, (because of errors). I un-commented it and added gpg keys as instructed. This is a full AntiX iso install on
a 16gig external flash SD card Anti. Not a frugal install or antix2usb install.

roky and afab4, to fix the errors, copy the files that end in FAILED from /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/ to /var/lib/apt/lists and rename them without the decom.FAILED suffix eg
www.daveserver.info_antiX_debs_dists_te ... omp.FAILED to
www.daveserver.info_antiX_debs_dists_te ... 6_Packages
and delete the contents of /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/
apt-get update should now be errorless.

Yes sirreeeee. Did not know though that uploading new debs to repo would break update again. Good to know to run the fix again if it errors.afab4 wrote:anticapitalista wrote: apt-get update should now be errorless.

To recap on my few entries in chat,
The problem that seems to be with the repo is that the packages files are not being updated when anti adds an item to the repository. Anti is configured as a regular, and I myself log in a root. It is as root that I have made the gpg key to sign the repository with When I add an item using reprepro I am prompted for a password to sign with that gpg key. I enter the password to the gpg key and the deb will be signed and added with the packages files updated. I at first thought that because the gpg key was made by root anti's user cannot sign the debs with the root gpg key and therefor reprepro does not ask for the gpg key passphrase. However in this belief I have tried making a gpg key as anti's user, but it does not seem to help. Even specifying to use the key made by anti's user, anti's user will not be able to sign it but root will successfully sign and update the packages . When anti uploads the files, the new debs hash sum is not able to be recorded in the packages files. Therefor because the old packages hash sums remain recorded, yet the new package has replaced the old one in reality. This then places the hash sum mismatch error you recieve.
To get around this I have made a script that loops every five minutes. What is set in the loop are all the neccessary actions to export the repo as root, thus solving the hash sum mismatch error. It is the best work around that I can think of, but in the long run I think reprepro may need to be dumped for something else.

I did an apt-get update this morning (smxi) and still got the hash sum mismatch error. I was able to fix it using the instructions anti posted.
