Is it possible to remove the demo account from the login screen? I tried manage users but didnt see a demo user.

To have autologin, go to /etc/slim.conf and change default user demo (line 76) to your user name.

I think he means from slim, post-install; i.e., on the livecd slim gives you login info for"demo." How do you remove it post-install?

You could try to change or comment out the default_user in /etc/slim.conf.
