I just installed Recoll , a terrific indexing app, in Antix 7.5.

Recoll works perfectly.

But it looks like crap. looks like an app from 1980 (or maybe, 1950)

i have recoll in two other computers, one with ubuntu, the other with xubuntu,
and Recoll looks great over there.

recoll is a QT app

any suggestions?

In antix 7.2 there was a qt 4 settings editor that may have helped, but I did not find it in antix 7.5. You may want to check the repos for it.
