what is the proper/best way to upgrade to Jessie? I mean I can replace wheazie with jessie at apt sources files, but what about repos like mepis community that do not include a debian version?

if you are using the mepis community repos, you are going to need to stick with wheezy. If you upgrade to jessie, you will probably find that most of the mepiscr stuff will not work.

I'm at a fresh 14.2 installation. How can I check/find out what is from the community repos?

anyway, so if I want to upgrade I just need to change the wheezy to jessie at debian repos? (and find out the hard way what breaks __{{emoticon}}__ )

Within the synaptic package manager gui, you can filter displayed packages by using the left-pane"Origin" button.
Alternatively, if you have aptitude installed, aptitude can similarly filter displayed package listings.
