Problem with Wicd

I ran smxi and when I was done and logged back in, my wicd tray icon is gone and clicking on the add wicd tray icon button in antiX control center doesn't bring it back.

I tried removing wicd so I could reinstall it, but it gives me this error when I try to remove it."E: wicd: subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 1"

Any ideas?

My internet connection is still working, so I assume wicd is still working just without a tray icon.

Open a terminal and enter

Code: Select all

/opt/wicd/tray.py
What happens?

Wicd is working now, but I'm still having a problem. When I start up my computer wicd runs, but instead of being in the tray like it's supposed to there's a little tiny window in the upper left corner of the screen that I think is wicd, but it won't let me close it or anything. If I logout then log back in wicd will be in the tray correctly.

Also, even after I've signed in and wicd is in the tray, it doesn't see or connect to my network that I have set to autoconnect. I have to open wicd and click refresh, then click on connect before it connects.

This might help.
