Hello:
I bought a Plantronics 478 headset (with mic) so that I could use it with Skype or listen to music. It's a usb plug in. Alsa picks it up but I can't get it to work. Even after I select the Plantonics option under the soundcard list in alsa, the sound still comes out the pc speakers and not from the headset. I have adjusted the sound in alsa, of course, and still nothing.
Inxi also shows the Plantronics sound card, but as number 2. Is that the problem, that is defaults to my regular soundcard? Any other way to switch them? Or any other suggestions?
