Yes, the forum site has been acting wacky.
No, it's not specific to whatever character strings the a post contains.
(suggests a problem with freeforuums.org rather than a phpbb bug)
Sometimes although it shows you're logged in, you get a"no permission to" error when attempting to reply or start a new topic. A few days ago I wound up trying"quick reply"... which worked, but afterward it wouldn't permit me to edit the single-word"mushrooms" test post which I had submitted via quick reply.
