Hi,
I have upgraded from 32 to 64 bit (now on mx-15 Fusion) (coming from XUbuntu).
During upgrade I kept my /home (on separate partition ext4)

I have dropbox.
The files there in is mostly reports for the diver-club.
The thing is they are named like this (mostly) 'Närvaro 2016.xls'

I can see the names properly in thunar and in the terminal.
My problem is I can't open them since in this case libre office calc says it doesn't exit
presenting a name to me where the ä above is displayed as two squares.

This never was a problem in XUbuntu nor in the 32bit version of antiX where I
was working previously.

The main reason going 32->64 was performance (32 antix was painfully slow).
And I want to start utilizing docker for distribution of the programs I make (and
that required a 64bit os).

Note: It's not just calc who got this problem, I see the same problem with pdf-files.
But I can open a txt-file with those characters in the name (using leafpad).

I hope some of the more experienced users here can show me the light in this tunnel
