So i've realized that there is not a obvious way of printing jpg photos from antiX. any thoughts on what to install for this task? I'm looking to print several photos at once, and not necessarily of the same resolutions.

Thanks.

I believe Shotwell is good for this...but I think it's a huge, all singing all dancing app.

yep, shotwell will do what I want but it is a full-suite of tools. gnome-photo-printer isn't bad, but its a little esoteric to configure, but it does work without having import photos into a database. gnome-photo-printer only pulls down about 5mb of stuff. of course, shotwell is only 12 or so.

package allows you to print pictures from the command line using the lpr command. Since it is CLI based I thought it might be smaller than GUI solutions. I installed it to antiX-13.1-base and it also pulled two other packages: a2ps and lpr. In total, the three packages required 7.3 Meg of disk space.

thanks. I think a very good choice is PhotoPrint. available in the repos. works very nice. brings in about 9mb, but doesn't require a database or photo library just to print some jpg files.

Converseen allows you to convert, resize, rotate and flip automatically an unlimited number of images.
With Converseen you can save your time because it can process more than one image with one mouse click!

I haven't tried it yet. I did use irfanview under wine a few times but lately I've been using imagemagick.

those are both good tools but they don't really address the printing photos problem. think the photo printing wizard from windows or picasa, where you can print multiple photos on a variety of layout options.

I'm actually liking PhotoPrint alot for this task.
