This is a serious bug in the forum software beyond our control.
Hopefully the providers will fix this asap.

Hack solution:

Do not post a forward slash / followed by etc. Instead leave a space or write it as etc/apt/sources.list , for example.

/etc will cause the error.

so put in a space between the"/" and the"etc" like so:

Just at the first part of the pathway, or add the space between the"/" and the"etc", like D.O. says.

OR you can delete the"/" altogether and it will be implied. ( boot/grub/grub.cfg )

Thanks! In organisational things more precise explanation is always good.

i have just discovered this by editing my post 20 times
that you cant write / etc

i only have gotten to
/ / / etc / fstab
