topic title: Odd *.desktop Files

Just curious about this.

In ~/Desktop are a group of *.desktop files which don't seem to be used, at least not in the WM modes I've tried. What is their purpose?

I believe they put icons onto the desktop if your desktop is so configured.

That's the usual purpose, but I have not previously seen them used this way in antiX.

They are there for spacefm as a desktop.
