I just installed Antix-M7 on another old box. I opened up Synaptic and under status>>not installed (residual config) there are quite a few packages that have left behind their config files. I'm not sure of the size but if they were removed during the build it might reduce the waist size a couple of inches and help with the download of the iso. Maybe save a little bandwidth.

Thanks for that.
Do you know what the command line equivalent for removing residual config is?

Maybe
Apt-get purge
or
apt-get autoclean
I don't know if this will get rid of config files though.
