hi all,i have just loaded antix on my hp paviliondv1000,1.4 centrino,1 gb ram,100gb hdlove it so far ,only problem i have is the usb dont seem to work,does not see memory stick etc if i plug in a webcam the light on the cam flashes butn thats it.
please bare in mind i am a total novice with linux so be gentle.

try either using Menu>Tools>Filers>spacefm to mount your usb sticks, or use the mount tool on the disks tab in the control center.

If you use the spacefm desktop, mounting will be automatic. there are a host of other options for this.

you can test your camera with guvcview found in the Menu>Applications>Sound and video>guvcview.
