Hi everyone,

I'm so happy having AntiX installed in my old laptop IBM Thinkpad R51. But there is no sound output. I tried to configure the sound system >> ALSA CONFIGURATION and this is the message -"No supported PnP or PCI card found."

Try messing with the alsamixer settings. You might need to reboot.

If me. I would add

snd-intel8x0= Intel ICH (i8x0) chipsets
to the end of the file in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and reboot.

The reason I suggest this Anti is that alsa version does not show under his inxi sound card readout. Usually a Alsa Version will show up along with a driver being used in the sound card readout.
