topic title: no sound Asus eeepc 900 16 gb live cd

Configures sound doesn't recognize card. I'm hoping the master of motor cycles & the 900 has a quick fix befoe I install.Every thing else looks great on 8.5

Compare your inxi -F with mine Becky. See if you have the same sound card and driver
And Below is a screenshot of how I have Gamix (frontend for alsa-mixer) set up for working sound (skype mic and camera also work for me also)

My gamix and inxi -F looks like yours. I have had problems installing & with grub. I'll post later. I've also been sidetracked with open source hardware - an Arduino.

Hey, on my 904 I sometimes have to adjust the mixer volume. It sometimes set to zero at first. I generally check alsamixer from terminal before I get to worried about sound.
Might not be you're problem, but it is simple to check.
