I have been using AnitX for about a month now. I had tried about 10 different distros on my old computer (450mhz) and AntiX seems to work best for my purposes. I'm basically using it as a file (and audio) server.
However, I have been trying to get Nomachine's NXServer setup, but I can't get it working. I've tried different display (login) managers and settled on xdm (as it seems to be supported by nxserver). I have no problem accessing the machine through ssl, and NXserver starts with no errors showing or in the log.
The problem is: everything starts as normal... the server screen opens with the logo... the logo fades to black... and that's where it ends -- I'm left with a black NXServer window.
Can anyone help? Does anyone else have NXServer running on AntiX?

I'm (trying to) using it on Debian. Like you i always have got problems setting up a new"connection".
Try to change the config-settings (well: there are not that much...):
Under Desktop ->Lan to ADSL or vice versa
Under Desktop/Settings -> choose"run the following command" and enter the path to your window-manager.
Have a look here:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.nomachine.com/documents/admin-guide.php"
linktext was:"http://www.nomachine.com/documents/admin-guide.php"
====================================
and try this:
The general form of the command is:
nxserver --useradd USERNAME --system OPTIONS [--administrator]
so
nxserver --useradd banshee --system --administrator
should be what i did.
I can't say it helps, but it won't hurt neither.
