i have an intel 535 120gb to pair with the new laptop

had a core2duo t9500, 2.5G, 6mb cache
this has core i3-5010, 2.1G, 3mb cache
but the i3 seems faster

had an ati 4650/1gb video
this has intel 4400 and 5500 gpu wich look faster on paper

what do you think about
lenovo quality, gpu performance?

i dont game very much, old stuff counter strike 1.6, doom(zandronum), openra, red ecllipse

what is the support for switchable graphics on linux
will i be able to switch between 5500 on the cpu, and 4400 on the mainboard?

will probably use antix 15 or 16, 32 bit
i can go higher in price, i just dont see the need

ps: right now im posting from a 2006 intel pentrium m centrino 1.8G, 2mb cache/512 ram
running antix ofcourse

Nothing mentions laptop model number or video chipset used. At least that I can see from your link info for members to make a informed
judgement.

Digging around on my own. But I may be off base. Looks to be a intel video chip.

More than likely you will need to disable secure boot, for it to boot to a USB stick.
But finding how to do that can be a problem. Had to look in the BIOS upgrade instructions for several to find out how to do that.
i3 are good cpus.
