Have downloaded and burnt iso image. Changed the boot sequence so as to boot from CD
Ran Live CD no problem, but when i right-clicked on the Desktop and then clicked on"antiX Installer",
i was asked for an administrative password and i typed"root". I agreed to the terms and clicked next. I now choose"Use disk: sda" and"Auto install using entire disk" and clicked next. Ok to format and use the entire disk (/dev/sda) for Mepis? i clicked on next.
But i keep getting the following :
Failed to create required partitions.
Returning to Step 1.
Could you please tell me where i have gone wrong.

There is no"custom install" option available. Could i install via the terminal as root and enter minstall?

I did not choose Auto install. It is pre-selected and there is no option to un-select it. Would it be better to install via terminal?

Do you know how to use gparted to set up the partitions?
If so, do that before running the installer and then it should not crash on Auto or custom. In fact it shouldn't crash anyway.
Using the terminal, will still run the graphical installer. Give it a try if you like, as root, minstall

I have never used gparted or any other program to set up partitions. Really disappointed. Is there someone who could tell me how to use gparted to create the partitions?
