Hey everyone, I'm new to antiX but now so much to linux. I used linux for the first time back around 1999 or 2000 but was never able to get it online. After lots of messing with lindows drivers and custom kernels I gave up. From then I used it on and off until about a year ago when I went to linux full time. I currently run Crunchbang and am looking for something to replace Xubuntu and play around with.
AntiX seems like a great choice for messing with things and the fact that it comes from an anticapitalist helps!

Welcome! Mutual Aid: a Factor of Evolution is one of my all time favorite books. But I'm here for mostly for the tech, (actually, the people) not the politics. Speaking of which, I'm about to send you an email with an initrd.gz and an xdelta3.

The people and the politics are one in the same for me. I'm an activist/organizer and geography doctoral student and mix it all up to be a part of my life. I've also been told (and I agree) that I look like young Kropotkin so I feel a special connection to him. I originally wanted to put this quote but it was too long:

Petr Kropotkin wrote:Knowledge is an immense power. Man must know. But we already know much! What if that knowledge — and only that — should become the possession of all? Would not science itself progress in leaps, and cause mankind to make strides in production, invention, and social creation, of which we are hardly in a condition now to measure the speed?
