At long last, the English version of the NEW, IMPROVED, antiX FAQ is now online here:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://sblinux.org/antix/"
linktext was:"http://sblinux.org/antix/"
====================================
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false
For nostalgia's sake, the old version is still online at:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://sblinux.org/antix/old_faq.html"
linktext was:"http://sblinux.org/antix/old_faq.html"
====================================
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false
Thanks to Lee/oldhoghead and Sergio/secipolla for all their hard work, as well as Jerry, and any others who contributed who I'm forgetting. Andreas: let me know whenever you have the Deutsch translation ready and I'll put it online.
You'll no doubt notice the somewhat radical redesign of the document format. I thought it was getting rather long, so I broke it up visually with prominent headers containing the section sub-menus. Also, since IceWM is installed as the default, it made more sense to have that section come before Fluxbox. If you don't like it, or think that you have a good idea to make it even more readable and easy to navigate, let us know.
Please go over the document and let us know about any errors in fact or keyboarding that you find, before anticapitalista puts this on the antiX iso.
Sorry for the delays in getting this project finished.

ICE-M and whoever else, apart from SB's excellent work with the FAQ, the current file has still many errors. I've sent him the corrections and I suppose all will be fine when 8.5 is released. If you want a, as far as I know, correct FAQ, please read the attached file (Gxine/MPlayer issue pending info; it seems MPlayer's bug was fixed so I'm waiting for anti's response).
ROX section is specially outdated in the on-line version.

OK!
Great work, Sergio! There were a lot of good changes you made. Having that list you made up for me helped a lot, too. Thanks for the extra effort.
I made a few small corrections myself while formatting, but didn't find much wrong that you hadn't already. I love the new links for conky, BTW. They go in, absolutely! I'lll fight anybody who says no. The crunchbang site has good, clear info on conky, & Conky Hardcore is a great site with a lot of energy and a good vibe for newbs as well as more accomplished users.
The new changes are now online at the same URL. (Just for the record, this is revision #6 now.)
As before, please eagle-eye the document, folks. As soon as we get it"ship-shape in Bristol fashion" anticapitalista wants me to send him the whole enchilada in a tarball for inclusion in the ISO.
thanks,
SilverBear
