You'all be dreaming if wanting to run Hulu Desktop or XBMC on a Pentium 3.

but I bumped ram on those to over 1 gig. Maybe Hulu Desktop won't crash on ya but you are asking that single piston pc to do multi piston workouts trying out XBMC.

Use a Pentium 4 with one gig of ram in AntiX for the heavy lifting and you will be good to go. __{{emoticon}}__

Just tried this, and it sort of works, But I think my problem is with that one machine.
Otoh, on mx14, I just apt-get install netflix-desktopsay ok when it ask me to, and it works just fine.
I will try again on the other machine, on a new install

pipelight works pretty will in mx-14 as well if you install firefox. I had no luck with midori. I've had mixed results in antix.

I went through all your commands relatively easy then I come to the poin where you say exit super user and be a regular 'joe' terminal wise the run netflix-desktop. I did and this si what happened:

bill@bills:~
$ netflix-desktop
bash: netflix-desktop: command not found
bill@bills:~
$ run netflix-desktop
bash: run: command not found

Then I tried this:

bill@bills:~
$ apt-get run netwflix-desktop
E: Invalid operation run
bill@bills:~
$ apt-get netflix-desktop
E: Invalid operation netflix-desktop

Should I have tried to run Netflix as Super User?

you can try, but it sounds like its not quite installed all the way. you can"apt-get install -f" as root and see if any errors crop up.

I must say I haven't had this particular issue crop up.

If you guys just made a .desktop file, using the little program forr making them, and then ran update menu, you'd have a start icon in start menu.

there actually is a .destkop file that comes with it, but it doesn't work right with the menus. it shows up as a blank entry in"Sound & Video". I usually edit that with the icon and menu entry.
