I have 2 directories of mp3 files that doing a database update in ncmpc doesn't get picked up. All my other directories are picked up fine. Awkward files are mp3 files as far as I can tell. They run fine in xmms.
I've edited the ID3 tags but still no joy.
Any ideas on how to get ncmpc to recognise these files?

have you checked that the /etc/mpd.conf
music_directory points to the directory(ies) (I'm not sure if you can have multiple directories)
and that if it is on a partition that that partition is mounted

I've set mpd.conf to point to /home/chris/music
All music is in sub directoies as artist/album etc.
ncmpc/mpd database picks up most files but these two directories or contents it won't touch.
I have changed filename structure on some file, removing spaces and dashed but no effect.
I'm sure I've come across this in the past but for the life of me can't remember it.
