My first computer was an Amiga 1200 'round '92 or '93. Sadly, a disgruntled ex ended up with the hardware. The Amiga was well known as a graphics powerhouse in it's era compared to what was available in the PC world...but myself, I'm a gamer and the Amiga had some of the best games out there and now I can play 'em again.
For those that are interested I'm running Amiga OS 3.0, a version 3.0 kickstart rom and a fully loaded Workbench 3.1. This will run windowed or full screen without a hitch. Emulator is WinUAE under Wine. I'm still toying with the native Linux emulator, but having some problems. I'd love to strip away the Wine layer, but I'm not there yet.
Just an explanation why I need a lean & fast distro like Antix or MX-14...I need all the overhead I can get!!
