Ok Anti, here it is.

Code: Select all

# Pluggable devices are handled by uDev, they are not in fstab
# /dev/sda2=root
UUID=5404e421-0ca5-41e1-96cf-cb03ab0620bb / ext3 defaults,noatime 1 1
# /dev/sda3=swap
UUID=ad1bfbfe-5748-42ee-90ca-46de5591f313 swap swap sw,pri=1 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
procbususb /proc/bus/usb usbfs devmode=0666 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0622 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
# /dev/sda1=windows
UUID=36C473897F2419FF /home/eriefisher/Windows ntfs-3g defaults,noatime 0 0
# Dynamic entries below
/dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1 vfat,ext3,ext2,reiserfs noauto,users,exec 0 0
/dev/sda2 /mnt/sda2 vfat,ext3,ext2,reiserfs noauto,users,exec 0 0
/dev/sda3 swap swap sw,pri=1 0 0
/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,users,exec,ro 0 0
/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,users,exec,ro 0 0
Do you see what I mean with a mix of the old /dev system and the uuid's. Even if I delete them the fstab will be updated on the next reboot and the /dev items will be replaced. This may be related to my burn issue but I don't know yet, I haven't dug into it yet.

I see you didn't move to uuids.

Not necessary. My /boot/grub/menu.lst uses UUID.

I switched both over to uuid.
