Hi! I didn't see anything in the forums about using MToolsFM in antiX. I tried installing it under Synaptic, but it depends on libglib 1.2, whereas libglib 2.0 comes with antiX 7. If i downgrade, it wants to remove LOTS of stuff!! __{{emoticon}}__ Any thoughts??

I'm having a problem with the same library. It was suggested that I use aptitude to do some installation, but the directions weren't very clear. I keep trying aptitude once in a while, but I haven't quite figured out how it works yet. Anyway, give it a try.

BTW I think glib1.2 corresponds to gtk1.2 while glib2.0 corresponds to gtk2.

I think you will find it very difficult to install gtk1 apps as they are slowly being unsupported in Debian, certainly in Debian sid and probably for testing. For example xmms is no longer available in Sid, but it is in testing.
So unless you want to rip out a lot of stuff, you'll have to find an alternative app or wait/hope that the app will become gtk2 based.
