Anyone know about metapackages and how to make them?
The smxi script has a part that can install the newest Mepis kernel, except it won't work unless there is a Mepis metapackage for it. Now I guess that this metapackage will simply (sic) list the kernel, headers, modules and kbuild that need to be installed.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Also, I'm thinking of having including metapackages in antiX. For example, metapackage-kids-education that will install a set of apps suitable for children's education. Or metapackage-audio for those that use their box for audio production.
Or any other metapackage project that teams of people want and will help to keep 'stable'.
TIA

This is over my head. I'm sure that it's just a matter of building a package that does nothing but pull dependencies. You may want to pm Stevo at ML. He probably has some good knowledge of this.
