I don't usually use the metapackage-installer but on a fresh install today I decided to give it a try.
When I chose to install the NonFree video_codecs, it added the repo, updated and then returned an error:

Code: Select all

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package w64codecs

Obviously calling for the wrong codec package.
