Hello. I reinstalled antix 8 base on my laptop after trying out some slackware distros. After setting the repos to stable and upgrading, I tried installing xfce-light using the meta-installer. In all three attempts, the terminal crashed. Any ideas? Thanks.

It needs the testing repos as well.
Does it work in a terminal (only with stable repos)?
apt-get install xfce4

Why did you install M8-base and not M8.2?
M8.2-base does work with only stable repos.
There must be something in antiX-M8-base that is stopping the upgrade.
apt-get install xfce4
should give the reason.
Or install aptitude and then
aptitude update
aptitude install xfce4

I was able to install xfce using apt-get.
I assumed that 8.2 was using testing repos. That is why I chose to install 8.0 as a base instead. Does 8.2 use stable repos?
