I've lost my antix fluxbox menu.
How can I restore it?
now I can't even find the antix control centre (if that is included in base, that is)
I'm sure this has been asked before but a search did not show much
--btw A8 is pretty fantastic, more locales, rock solid with the new stable debian

If the menu is really"gone" then you could copy it back from /etc/skel/.fluxbox. As far as the control center, I don't think it's installed in"base". You could add it but you would also need to add all the extra apps needed to support it.

I tried using a graphical fluxbox menu editor and it ruined my fluxbox menu. I loaded the m8 livecd and copied the menu over. Then I made an additional copy in my documents folder. In fact, I'll probably put all of the default config files there - for both icewm and fb - just in case something like this happens again.

What was the graphical fluxbox menu editor, OU812? TBH I have never trusted any of them, even if they 'seem' ok.

fluxmenu from fluxconf (in synaptic). It worked in the past for me. Perhaps it's just not compatible with the newer fb.
