Hi there!
I was wanting to try making two portable installs of antiX; one with Fluxbox and another with IceWM.
Is it pretty straightforward to do this?
From a quick glance at some of the postings here, it sounds like there might be some issues with a portable install of antiX. If so, what sort of problems might there be?
Thanks!

Welcome to antiX.
If you mean a full install to usb device like a full install to hard disk drive, then all is ok. Just make sure you install grub to the MBR of the usb device.
If you mean a persistent live install, then it can be done, but we are in the process of changing how we do this. The newer version will be better as you can have live persistence on one partition, in antiX-M11 and before you need 2 partitions.
If you use antiX-full, no need for 2 installs just to change window manager. In live mode, you get to choose at boot menu.
Hope this helps.

Yes, a full install on a USB device was what I had in mind.
So, if I use antiX-full and choose window managers, will the settings be the same for both? Or do I have to make different settings for each?
Thanks...

I run persistent antiX pendrives. If I install anything via apt-get or synaptic or dpkg -i command. It carries over into both Desktops. No configuring needed. A launcher shows up in either Desktop Menu. You need a persistent install though to get this feature.
Fluxbox and Icewm are not the same when it comes to editng menu and toolbar. But. Either can be configured using antixcc .will the settings be the same for both? Or do I have to make different settings for each?
