Why Luddite?
The Luddites were machine breakers in the early C19th (led by Cpt. Ludd). They would have abhorred the new technology, set fire to"La Casa Anticapitalista" (or whatever the Greek equivalent is) and destroyed all its machines.
Is antiX cocking a snoot at these early heroes of the labour movement? I think we should be told! __{{emoticon}}__

One of the main aims of antiX is to provide a modern OS for older computers. We are challenging the logic of the throwaway society which encourages people to replace something deemed as antiquated (but working just fine) with something newer. In this sense, we are the proud legacy of the Luddites.
